Required Supplies: BASIC SUPPLIES - Pattern templates printed at 100%. See page 2 of prep work for details. - Freezer paper - Pins - Template material- Tara recommends clear plastic, but cardboard or poster board are OK as well! Be sure to mark your templates and bring them to QuiltCon! - Pencils for marking both light and dark fabrics ------------------------------------- The below items will be provided in the workshop room to share amongst students but it is highly recommended students bring their own to maximize class time: - Small Cutting Mat - Cutting Ruler - medium rectangular ruler for cutting scraps and trimming seam allowance - Rotary Cutter - Scissors for fabric ------------------------------------- FABRIC - Assorted fabric scraps (2 3/4" x 4 1/4" minimum size for arc pieces, 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" for squares) - Assorted fat quarter sized pieces of fabric for melons and corners of the block

In this workshop, students will learn how to sew a scrappy Double Wedding Ring block with depth and dimension using color. In this class we will cover all the basics of making and using paper foundations, creating templates, color choices and the importance of value for creating a successful design. Sewing machines generously provided by event sponsors!
