I've always been drawn to spikes in quilting because I love the energetic quality of a narrow triangle. Based loosely on the "New York Beauty," Ouch is the result of an experiment in improvisational foundation paper piecing. Armed with newsprint and a pencil, I was able to be both loose and accurate at the same time. Ouch is comprised of hand dyed, linen and commercial fabrics.
