Fabric remnants from two wall hangings, based on the cropped letter "Q," tumble playfully across the surface. Perhaps due to the theme of the original quilts, this composition hints at making marks and the art of calligraphy. One can still identify segments of the original letter. Echo quilting accentuates the shapes; "rice grain" stitching provides background texture. The red spot is a nod to the quilter who encouraged me to “go bigger.” Thank you “quilty” friend!
