I joined the Canadian Improv Bee to explore improvisation. I received much inspiration and support from some amazing quilters. For my prompt, I selected artist, Sean Scully whose hard-edge paintings have always looked to me like quilts. I challenged myself to combine the improv stripes in the blocks with my own minimalist aesthetic. By piecing the blocks in two segments, I tried to start a conversation with my favourite monochromatic stripes serving as the backdrop.
