I challenged myself to make a complex composition of overlapping circles. To achieve this, I decided on EPP as the technique. All the pieces were cut, wrapped, and hand-sewn together. For the aesthetic, I wanted it to feel like optical art with the added dimensions of pattern and color. With the quilting, I highlighted different circles in the composition with different quilting layouts and thread colors to bring in another layer of texture.
