The design for this quilt has been on my mind for a couple of years and I decided it was time to make it. While making it, I recognized rain/umbrellas in the design but also sunshine motifs in the quilting. Combining those two elements made me think of my own mental health and trying to find the "sunshine" moments amidst the rainstorms of life. Quilting is one of those spots of sunshine for me.
