This summer was a scorcher. As I sewed, I wondered if I could make a quilt that could both provide cover and ventilation. What will happen to the craft of quilting as the environment grows warmer? What will we hold on to and what will we let go? For this piece, I didn’t want to let go of my love of shape and strong figural composition… I just wanted to stay cool.
