When I first saw the economy block it reminded me of a Pythagorean Theorem proof. I modified the block using 30-60-90 triangles. I moved these triangles, maintaining the same area of pink, red, or gold in each block. The equal areas in the two different blocks prove the theorem x² + y² = r², which is also the equation of a circle. The gray reminded me of the chalkboards I used early in my teaching career.
