This quilt had a three-fold inspiration. First, I wanted to highlight the color gradient of Giucy Giuce's Deco Glo II fabrics. Second, I considered possible variations of a New York Beauty block. The final inspiration came from a walking tour of Art Deco architecture in Miami Beach, when I spotted an arch-shaped ornament. I combined elements of a New York Beauty into the arch shape and used a clamshell type layout.
