I aimed to create a bold composition with the use of complementary colors and sharp value contrast. It evokes an otherworldliness reminiscent of planets. All of these organic shapes were pieced and 43 of them were inset. It was created in response to the prompt to make a rectangular quilt with 5 columns in Maria Shell’s Promptopia class.
