The project started with a few reflections of my daughter. She loves the mountains and sun, and is an avid endurance athlete. The notion of ‘Keep Looking Up’ is good to remember at many times—even when it’s tough! I attended a presentation about applique patterns; as I designed and created this original project every step was enjoyable. Big stitches and a facing completed it. Simple, repetitive shapes turned into something interesting and fun!
