This piece was created using Bandon Wulff’s biscotti method and explores the gradient of emotion through color. The transition from the deep blue outer edges to light blue center evokes a journey from depth and introspection to clarity and calm. The continuous spiral quilting patters lends order to the fragmented and irregular shapes. Here, the viewer is invited to consider perspective as the sharper, more fragmented pieces fade away upon stepping back from the piece.
