Fractured Sunset jumps up a playful notch or two from several arc, curve and circle quilt block designs including Daisy Aschehoug’s Giant Nested Curves, Tara Faughnan’s Sunny and Denyse Schmidt’s Wagon Wheels. The aim of the palette was homogeneity to add a sense of calm to a design with lots of movement. The palette was also planned as a contrast to Fractured Moonrise, an identical quilt fashioned in grey, blue and low volume fabrics.
