Laura Hartrich is an award-winning artist working primarily in fiber with a focus on quilts. She lives near Chicago with her family (1 husband, two kids, two cats). Laura recently began her career in occupational therapy, a field focused on the importance of everyday activities. Laura applies this lens to her art, creating quilts that thoughtfully examine her daily patterns, routines, and experiences. By making the personal public, she hopes to foster connection, commiseration, and even humor.
