Hi, I'm Leo Ransom and I have been quilting since 1998. I began as a traditionalist, but found art quilting in 2011. I speak, teach, have been juried into many shows and I am a national award winning quilter. My specialty is portrait quilting using 2 styles: silhouette, a process using 2 fabrics to create a portrait and layering which utilizes layers of fabric to create additional details in a piece. I mix traditional with my art and soon will be teaching a collage technique using fussy cut bits of fabric to create a portrait. I love sharing my knowledge and encourage students to try something new.
