Required Supplies: - Usual sewing supplies: seam ripper, pins, small fabric scissors, thread, etc... (neutral thread is provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you wish, shared scissors are also provided if you cannot travel with your own) - Colored pencils - Mechanical pencil with eraser - Small paper scissors - Scotch tape - 28mm rotary cutter - 9"x12" or similar size cutting mat - 8.5" square quilting ruler - Washable school glue stick --------------------------------- Solid Fabrics - 10 fat quarters 1 light neutral, 1 medium or dark neutral 4 colors - 2 different values of each color
Be fearless with curvy alternate gridwork! Students will explore how to create dynamic, vibrant compositions that include quarter, half, and whole circles. Students will work on a 24" x 24" project to apply these strategies. Susan will share her best tips and tricks for circular piecing, rectangular fitting components, and construction sequencing. Take home what you learn to unleash your imagination and go off the grid. Curved templates and design maps will be provided. Sewing machines generously provided by event sponsors!
