This workshop is ideal for beginners or those new to raw edge appliqué. Satomi will guide students through each step and demonstrate the process. Students will learn the process of Raw Edge Appliqué using lightweight double-sided fusible web, how to trace the motif onto the fusible web, cut the parts, fuse them onto the fabric, then cut out the components and place them on the background fabric. Appliqué will be finished with topstitching by a sewing machine. Satomi will provide parts of a template to work with, allowing each attendee to create their own design. There is no set layout; students can decide how to arrange each motif and determine the quantity of pieces making this a fun and unique experience for all! Sewing machines generously provided by event sponsors!
