APP002 - Modern Masterclass: Needle Turn Applique for Textural Quilts

NOTE: Materials fees are required for some workshops. These fees are paid directly to faculty and are not part of your registration fee.

Required Supplies:
- Fabric - Solids, Prints, Textured or Combination.
-- Background Fabric - about 1/2 yard - if you'd like to use your wordplay in a larger project keep that in mind.
-- Wordplay Fabric - Contrasting to Background Fabric, can be scrap pieces to audition for the applique - if you'd like your wordplay to all be in the same fabric keep that in mind so you have a larger pieces. Equivalent to 1/2 yard of fabric.
- Medium sized sharp scissors (shared scissors will be provided but you may want a good sharp pair for cutting applique pieces)
- Needles - Milliner / Straw size 10
- At least one 80wt thread that matches your project or a neutral color - Aurifil 80wt thread is Barbie's preferred
- Roxannes Glue Baste It or small Applique Pins
- Silver Gel Pen or Mechanical Pencil (that will show up on Wordplay Fabric)

All other supplies, patterns & templates will be provided by Barbie. Digital PDF will be available for students to download after class so they can complete their project at home.
