PH004 - Hand Piecing: Night Sky Star

NOTE: Materials fees are required for some workshops. These fees are paid directly to faculty and are not part of your registration fee.

Required Supplies:
- Fabric to make each star:
-- A - centre squares - five 3” squares - total 3” x 15”
-- B - centre small triangles - four 2 1/2” x 4” pieces - total 5” x 8”
-- C - NSEW triangles - four 4” squares - total 8” square
-- D - pointy elongated triangles - four 3” x 6” pieces - total 6” x 12”
-- E - large corner triangles - eight 4” x 6” pieces - total 8” x 12”
- Fabric scissors - shared scissors will be provided but you may wish to have your own to maximize class time
- Fabric pen/pencil
- 50wt thread - Karen's preference is Aurifil
- Hand sewing needles - Karen uses Jeana Kimball Size 9 Embroidery/Redwork
- Print out of templates if not purchasing acrylics. Print out at 100% no scale on cardstock. Karen will supply these to students when we are closer to QuiltCon.

Prep Requirements: Print out the templates if not purchasing acrylics. Print out at 100% no scale on card. Cut out the shapes onto fabric to get ahead if you don't want to use valuable class time. NOTE with shape E you need four facing one direction and four facing the opposite direction.
