Required Supplies: - Letter fabric- 1 or 2 Fat Quarters - A ziplock of scraps or orphan pieces from other projects - Scissors (medium length like 5.5” are ideal), shared scissors will be provided but you may wish to have your own to maximize class time - A Ruler 5.5” or smaller
Optional Supplies: - Stiletto, seam roller or presser, tailor’s clapper - Mini cutting mat for your station - Any fun selvages that you have saved - Novelty fabric from your stash (small amount) - Any number fabric or fabric with other phrases (small amount)
Fall in love with the final step in quilting - labeling! Come learn the fun skill of Fussy Cut Lettering using the same precision and satisfaction you get from piecing. Learn how to design a well composed label, techniques and tips for precision fussy cut letter piecing, and how you can apply other skills to create your own unique phrases and styling. Attendees will have the option of purchasing a kit of letter fabric to play with, and will leave with slabs of fussy cut names/words or a label ready to attach! Skills learned in this workshop can also apply to bags, name tags, binding and more! Fussy Cut lettering is a fun way to finish off your next quilt or project! Sewing machines generously provided by event sponsors!
