Say "YES AND" to y-seams in this brand new, improv-based workshop! This is NOT the workshop you may have attended in Raleigh at QuiltCon 2024.
Of all the piecing techniques that strike fear into the hearts of quilters, Y-seams are the most misunderstood. Learn to LOVE this versatile technique while making an improv Shards mini quilt. Students will learn 3 ways to landmark where to stop your needle for any angle, how to set up your sewing machine to make Y-seams easier, and how to use color value and angles to create the illusion of a 3-dimensional form. Bobbie will also share how to use freezer paper as a foundation for Y-seams! Sewing machines generously provided by event sponsors!
