SUR004FriAM - CANCELLED Drawing & Mark Making For Quilters

NOTE: THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELLED. This hands-on drawing and printmaking class will explore the basics of mark-making as it relates to abstract composition. We will use and review the art elements of line, color, shape, form, and space, and utilize them as tools to compose interesting and compelling two-dimensional drawings and prints. To warm up, students will practice some traditional drawing exercises and then move into experimenting with color and texture using mono printing or gelli plate printing. Students will come away with greater confidence in using drawing and printmaking as a part of their sketch process and will leave with work they can revise and expand into their next great quilt compositions. This is a no sew workshop.
