These quilts are based on the Surrealist artist’s game, Exquisite Corpse, where each artist creates part of the composition unseen by others until the final reveal. I gave each block contributor connector points on the block. Each contributor designed and pieced their own block using black and white and their connector color choice without others knowing what each created. I connected the blocks creating a strong figure and ground quilt composition.
