When starting this quilt, I learned about Risograph art, using a printer from Japan that is essentially a modern mimeograph, with a texture unique to the machine. The prints often have a geometric, MCM feel that seemed well suited to modern quilts. In this quilt, 3 different colored rings are “layered” to create a stacked design with a fabric that ideally mimicked the distinctive Risograph style of texture and color mixing.
