soft white damn' was inspired by a quote from the American poet e e cummings. Pryor translated Cummings' text 'The snow doesn't give a soft white damn whom it touches’ into a rudimentary one-patch-based font. The subtle use of tone-on-tone and light grey and white fabrics is anti-graphic and slows the reading of the text. Pryor chose to randomly tie the quilt with soft white yarn to mimic the quality of snowfall.
