"Suspend" came out of a trip to Newfoundland. In spite of all the blues and greens of the forests and seas, the looming forms of giant rocks along the shore, ravaged by time spoke the clearest to me. I love the monumental presence of these craggy forms and when I returned to my studio, this happened.
