Designed from a paper collage I made using the techniques in Sarah Hibbert’s ‘Collage to Quilts’ book. I was going to enter this into the Pantone Color of the Year challenge, but decided on hand quilting it with perle 8 cotton and densely quilting cross stitch and herringbone stitch in the entire background. The background quilting was directly inspired by Chawne Kimber’s beautiful hand quilting.
