Creating this quilt with the kaleidoscope block has been a long-held aspiration. When I finally took the leap, I chose to break apart the traditional rotational symmetry, reimagining it on a grander scale. Rather than relying on symmetry within each block, I designed 25 unique blocks, each one distinct, then rotated them across the quilt. This approach allows for a more dynamic interaction, creating a sense of movement that transcends the boundaries of each block.
