Inspired by a Joseph Albers color study, I used oversized CMYK printing dots to create the effect of yellow bars shifting from opaque to transparent across the quilt. CMYK—cyan, magenta, yellow, and black—functions like your printer, creating infinite colors based on dot size. The transparency effect is noticeable from a distance, while up close, the overlapping dots reveal a subtle interplay of colors.
