This quilt was inspired by the dreamy landscape in the 1921 painting “Dream City” by Paul Klee. The painting has me consider: How do we build beauty and variety into our neighborhoods? How do our neighborhoods reflect conformity? Are we making the cities of our dreams or nightmares? The semi-improv approach to the rail fence block in this quilt riffs on a favorite detail from the painting. Find the pattern in the QuiltCon magazine!
