A traditional log cabin block is reconfigured and pieced to resemble birds gathered in groups sitting on a wire. The log cabins are rotary cut without rulers to elicit an intentional hand made appearance. The imperfections give the impression of hand cut and hand sewn traditional log cabin blocks in reimagined shapes. The thin black quilt lines resemble pencil line drawings of log cabins as geometric birds.
