Levitation is machined pieced sewn with improvisational techniques. The leg outlines are pieced to look like they are marker drawn with spaces to show where the marker may have skipped revealing the background. The quilt commemorates my studio dog Midge. The legs and feet are from her vantage point, watching me sew. The cloud shaped quilt lines evoke a feeling of levitation and signifies her departure from this world. I miss you Midge E. Moo.
