“Fronds among Anemones” is an ode to community. The overlapping circular shapes split at their edges to interlock and are reminiscent of both the fronds of a fern and the tentacles of an anemone. As the colors interlock, they blend, creating color that couldn’t exist without both. “Friends” and “Enemies” working together. The design is a play on the orange peel block and is constructed using a mixture of foundation paper piecing and curved piecing.
